Introduction
History

The Amplifires were formed in 2005 by Sharon Clancy and Steve Rawlinson, in Cromford and played their first gig in October of that year.
The current line-up is Steven England on bass and keyboards; Sharon Clancy on vocals and percussion; James Buckley on drums; and Steve Rawlinson on guitars, bass and vocals.
The Amplifires song-writing was primarily a collaboration between Sharon Clancy and Steve Rawlinson, producing a number of CD releases including Fire On The Moon 2007, S.W.A.L.K 2011 and Lifes’s A Gamble in 2015.
Achievements
The Amplifires recordings were placed in the Reverbnation internet chart on a regular basis between 2008 and 2015, achieving many top 10 placings with their original material.
A now defunct MySpace following in excess of over 250,000 and interest from online radio stations and magazines in the UK and around the world.
The Amplifires played dates in August 2009 covering the USA states of New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania promoting a worldwide distribution deal secured with USA label Dysfunktional Records.
The final recordings in 2014 resulted in the album Life’s A Gamble, released by Coffee Jingle Records in 2015, with one track Grace and Danger being gifted to a compilation album to support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.
